La fecha de lanzamiento del renovado servicio PlayStation Plus se acerca rápidamente. Por ello, Sony ha revelado algunos de los juegos que llegarán en el plazo de lanzamiento, repartidos entre los planes Essential, Extra y Deluxe de PlayStation Plus.
Los nuevos planes se pondrán en marcha el 13 de junio para América. Están divididos en tres niveles: Esencial, Extra y Premium. El plan Esencial cuesta 60 dólares al año, mientras que el Extra asciende a 100 dólares al año y el Deluxe a 120 dólares anuales.
Con Essential, los beneficios regulares de PS Plus seguirán vigentes. Lo más importante es la línea de juegos mensuales. Sin embargo, al pasar a Extra o Deluxe, se abre un catálogo más amplio de juegos, tanto recientes como no tan recientes.
Tanto para Extra como para Deluxe, los suscriptores obtienen un catálogo de juegos de PlayStation 4 y PS5 para jugar. Estos parecen similares a la Colección PlayStation Plus que se desplegó con el lanzamiento de la PS5. Hay una lista bastante decente de juegos de PlayStation Studios, así como algunas entradas de terceros.
Recuperando clásicos
En el lado Deluxe, los suscriptores del nivel más alto también obtienen algunos de los clásicos. Algunos tendrán mejores resoluciones y velocidades de fotogramas que sus versiones originales, o llegarán como versiones remasterizadas. Varios juegos de PS2 son las versiones remasterizadas de PS4, por ejemplo. Los juegos de PlayStation 3 también están disponibles, vía streaming.
Una nota en particular llama la atención: «Además, los jugadores que hayan adquirido previamente la versión digital de determinados juegos de la generación original de PlayStation y PSP no tendrán que hacer una compra por separado ni apuntarse a PlayStation Plus para jugar a estos títulos en PS4 o PS5.» Así que si los has comprado antes, ahora vuelven a estar disponibles sin coste adicional. Una vez que salgan a la venta, los propietarios pueden dirigirse a la PlayStation Store y descargar una versión sin coste adicional.
Por último, Sony también ha destacado algunas de las pruebas de juegos de duración limitada que recibirán los propietarios de PlayStation Plus Deluxe. Por ahora, la lista es corta: Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Horizon Forbidden West, Cyberpunk 2077, Farming Simulator 22, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands y WWE 2K22. Se espera que la mayoría de los juegos duren unas dos horas, y el tiempo solo contará cuando estés dentro del juego.
También se ha incluido una actualización mensual. Para todos los propietarios de PlayStation Plus, esto incluye la línea de juegos mensual que siempre hemos tenido. A mediados de cada mes habrá una actualización adicional con nuevos juegos para los planes PlayStation Plus Extra y Deluxe, aunque el número de juegos variará.
